What do people feel is the "right" amount of games... enough where you log in, and you tend to have some games to play vs. logging in and saying "oh s#$T, 232343 games to play" and you end up making some mistakes from rushing though to catch up.
I've been amazed before too, when I have had 100 games open, and logged in, and had no moves to make...
Also, is there anyway to notate to yourself, in an obvious and visible way that "wait, this is an important game, take your time on this one!"?

Just enter all the tournaments you can join so you can play any amount of games you want. If you dont have time for making so many moves, just randomly click some pieces. Lots of people here have sky-slope rating graphs anyway so it doesn't matter too much. What matters is that you have fun.
