Thanks Plumby. That should sil;ence those who were ready to bury the dead thread. It's still full of useful information. Though Nordlys has been notably absent of late. I bet if I make a spelling error she will suddenly appear.

Well, she did state that she would have limited access whilst visiting her folks in Germany for the holidays, so I wouldn't necessarily count on her showing up suddenly to proofread your posts. Perhaps Mr. Bowmann could be persuaded to step in for her....

...although, now that I think about it, he's been fairly quite of late as well. I wonder if Bowmann and Nordlys could be the same person...

...nah!

I wouldn't put it over Bowmann to pretend to be a woman, but Nordlys is a sub and Bowmann made it clear he wouldn't be one.

Or maybe Wildfire caught on to his scheme and as blackmail, paid for the subscription. Bowmann had no choice but to continue.

Maybe it is also possible for them to be brother and sister. ooohhh! 😲😲

titivil

a name for a devil said to collect words mumbled, dropped, or omitted in the recitation of divine service, and to carry them to hell where they would be held against the offender. By extension, a tattletale.

Half a crate of Grolsch, a bottle of single malt whisky and probably some hashish.

And then it's 6 months of detox.

I don't think we'll have ice cream to bring in the New Year. :'( But we'll have pea soup tomorrow, and I learned from the newspaper that according to an old tradition, eating pea soup on New Year's Eve means you'll never run out of money in the upcoming year (lentil soup works, too). 🙂

I've heard of some dodgy superstitions in my time, but this one seriously cracked me up!

I have a small quantity of hash that I'll probably consume round about an hour or so before the ice cream 😛
