I recently noticed a frequent thread creator (who shall remain nameless, even though you all know who this resident of Holland is) chastising someone for posting something he didn't approve of in "his" thread, and it got me to wondering, "Who owns a thread anyway?"
We all know who killed a thread (well, most of us understand that), but who owns a particular thread? Is it the person who created it? Can ownership be lost or transferred? Can thread-squatters take possesion of a thread someone else created and used to own (as Nordlys and RookRAK are claiming of a particular rather inane thread)?
And then what does thread ownership mean anyway? Should the "owner" of a thread have a right to tell other posters what to post or not post in his/her thread (not that they'd listen to him anyway)?
What do all of you forum denizens think about this terribly significant topic?😕

And yes, I was joking.
