Three Best Kept Secrets
(1) Our Red Hot Pawn site is bigger and better than any of us realize. (2) Russ & Chris know precisely what they're doing
and do it each day with a light touch and economy. (3) The rest of us (sole beneficiaries) think we do, too, but we don't.
Gratitude is in order. Stay safe. Be well.

i seriously disagree with mr. grampy.
russ and chris have a workable chess site but it has made substantial errors in trying to compete with gameknot.
the clubs have diluted the general forum and the clans.
the moderators are not listed by name as they are on schemingmind.com. sm does not fear naming the moderators.
the old recs were taken away.
those who wish to be in a clan or start a clan or be in the many tournaments that are offered here will pay the small fee asked for. six games is a joke. one cannot entoy the site well enough on six games and it is only by enjoying the site that one comes up with the idea to put up the money.
100 games is nothing ( most free guests will not play that many anyway ) and an avatar gives a sense of some community to the guest which then allows the guest to draw closer to the paying community.
russ and chris are shortsighted. the truly successfull businessman gives away things knowing that his product will be valued and then paid for.
the shortsighted businessman just hands out a stale cookie and sais that "if you are still hungry you will find a penny to buy another cookie".
generousity builds business. stingtyness just shows up as stinginess.
