[b]Three Best Kept Secrets
(1) Our Red Hot Pawn site is bigger and better than any of us realize. (2) Russ & Chris know precisely what they're doing
and do it each day with a light touch and economy. (3) The rest of us (sole beneficiaries) think we do, too, but we don't.
Gratitude is in order. Stay safe. Be well.

bigger in what sense? secret sections that have to be unlocked, like in a video game? more users than we know about? more important than we know? what exactly does it mean to say that the site is bigger than we realise?
and how is it better than we realise? what makes you think that you've been able to discern this so-called secret? for that matter, what makes you think you know what others' assessment of the site is?
just more meaningless drivel, i'm afraid.
Russ & Chris know precisely what they're doing
always a good idea to slime up to the bosses, isn't it?
but, for once, i actually agree - i'm sure Russ and Chris do know what they're doing: they're running a (presumably) profitable internet chess business with many thousands of customers, of which a tiny percentage use the public forums, with an even smaller percentage using general forum. they no doubt recognise that, as long as the legal niceties are observed, what happens in the public forums has a negligible impact on the bottom line. if they were actually concerned about the quality of the forum, i'm certain you'd be out on day one. your so-called 'light touch and economy' in fact reflects this focus on the bottom line.
The rest of us (sole beneficiaries) think we do, too, but we don't.
since you don't seem to think you know what you are doing here, let me inform you: you're polluting an otherwise perfectly good forum. there you go. as for the rest of us, we're killing time, exchanging views and banter, etc. nothing mysterious about it, no 'secret'. clearly, for you, general forum is a major feature of your so-called 'life'; for many here, it is just a means to some light relief, a few moments taken to check in and see what's happening with people we regularly interact with.
let me say, finally, that in a strange way i enjoy your posts, in that i have an abiding interest in the mechanics of communication, and particularly, pathological communication, and you provide a seemingly endless supply of the latter. on the other hand, reading your posts often makes my skin crawl.

Talking of site faults Mr Reinfeld....... I pay my dues too. I am a member of a clan I don't want to be..... namely a clan in my name which was up and running, but because of time limits I had to shut down. I CANNOT close the clan because of years old historical challenges that I am sure can be archived in RHP somewhere, and am sure nobody even bothers or needs to read again.
I am limited to 3 clan membership, but should be able to join 4. What says ye about that?? ?
Shouldn't we paying members be allowed to delete a clan we started?
