An upcoming trip has left me with three days in Europe with no schedule. I'm freed up from the evening of Thursday the 23rd (I'll be in Brussels) until Sunday the 26th (I have to be in Madrid). I'm looking for festivals and events. I'm unsure of Oktoberfest, am considering Brugge and Amsterdam, as well as the San Sebastian film festival, and I'm also thinking about Nice or somewhere else on the French Riviera.
Ideas? Suggestions? Nice too cold to enjoy properly in September? Anywhere reliably warm and sunny, and easy to get to?

if you want good weather and seeing that you're going to be in madrid next anyway, i'd head to the south of spain, seville or malaga if you want a beach. otherwise rome or milan would be your next best if you don't mind the travel. italy's one of the few places in euope that i've wanted to go to and never been.
