I read that we have five asteroids headed our way.

Would that be the third thing, or things three through eight?

They are all a long way out but it does make one wonder what is going to get us first...

A) A virus developed by a frogmonger in a Chinese wet-market?

B) Global climate change causing the ice caps to melt and turn the Dakotas into prime real estate?

C) Genetically adapted pestilence?

D) Space alien invasion?

E) Tectonic plate expansion causing the continents to fall off of the edge of the world

F) Asteroid the size of a mountain?

G) Greta Thunberg’s brain-melting contorted whining about B?

People tend to look for patterns in life and three is the smallest number needed to create a pattern. Bad things also happen in twos and fours, of course, but the relationships aren't always as noticeable.

My daughter often says that good and bad things happen in threes. Either she is right occasionally, or we stopped counting after three. 🙂

I'm going with "D", the only one that makes any real sense...if you're a thinking person. Now where'd I put that cream stuff that makes me invisible? 🤔

Think about it, if someone dies that is close you can count on two more dying also within a short time.
