According to Steve Irwin, "They're incredibly viscious when cornered, and can take a bloke's head off with one bite of his powerful jaws, crikey!"

More info on Koalas: They have some of the toughest digestive systems on the planet, due to a form of bacteria, that is absent in newborns; therefore, the baby has to eat some of Mom's poop straight from her bung-hole as it's coming out in order to have the bacteria passed on to its own digestive system. The Koalas need this bacteria to digest the eucalyptus leaves that they dine soley on. Once the bacteria is established in the gut, baby can safely start munching on eucalyptus leaves.....interesting, to saay the least.

True, and I just read that they have an appendix 8 - 12 feet long!!!
I guess that goes with the digestive system, huh?

But not that strange compared to a baby bird eating whatever father or mother bird throws up, or mothers eating the placenta (including some humans!) after birth. Different reasons, but still interesting.

Nothing "strange" in the mammalian, marsupial, ornithological, reptilian, amphibian, insectovarian, etc.....species. Man is the only phucked-up species on earth....

Geesarse, there are alot of mis-informed people in this world. Like most Australian animal, Koalas are docile as hell. Only when they are threatened are they able to f*** you up if they wanted to. And no, they are not a bear.
