you should not take the skull unless the game seriously looks like
it has been abandoned...the rating means nothing...the only thing
that matters is that you play well at your own level...your rating, if
based on timeouts...is not really you....be yourself...take a skull
because if you don't nothing will ever happen..keep your rating as
what it really shows about yourself and not what looks good on a
graph..if the graph is not really you why do you want it...go get some
crayons and draw yourself a really nice rating and put it on the wall
if you just need the emotional boost ( as we all do from time to time )

to answer slow pawns query: i resign periodically as i have high and low
periods of depression and in a low period...playing badly...such as a
royal fork or losing two rooks in one day thru a knight fork...i get so
depressed at my chess playing ability that i resign most if not all my games in a pique...then when i feel better...usually the next day at 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning...i see what i did the previous day and i
re-challange AT MY OLD RATING...some new players and climb the hill
again...chess is my friend...it is my place of rationality in a world place
of confusion so i return to it always...i have been hit with a stick for my
uncommon clan names...so what...i pay my money...why can't i amuse
myself on my own page with different clan names...( so tough it out mr. rude )...anyway..i am taking an online course on how to play chess for $6.00 a month and one day i will take out metallica and the
jewish clan with just a handful of members...
