whatcha think, 26 too old for me?
Since I know someone's gonna ask, I'll tell you about him.
I met him for the first time at the bowling alley shortly before I left for Greece. (He'd just moved here and he bowled a 277.) After nearly a month, I saw him again, and he instantly remembered me, even though we'd only talked for about 2 minutes.
So I kinda hung out with him on friday night during the bowling league (I bowl high school, and I usually just watch the good bowlers on friday in the hope of picking up something helpful... and because most of the real good bowlers are my friends.), and he seemed really happy to see me again and that I spent time with him.
Now, for looks... he's kinda a mix of RC here: http://www.dogstarr.org.uk/rhpfaces/gallery/gal25.htm
and Starrman in his profile pic (User 53140)
He's a software engineer, and he's 26 and from Washington DC.
At first, he comes across as really arrogant, but I discovered he's a really nice (and funny!) guy when you get to know him a bit better.
Now, I think he really liked me (though it might have been the tons of alcohol he drank in part, but he was genuinly hppy when he saw me and he wasn't drunk at that point), and I guess I kinda like him too. I mean, obviously it's too early to tell, and I don't know him that well yet, but I'll be seing him like every tuesday and friday for like half a year, so the prize question (purely hypothetical, at least at the moment):
If he asks me out, do I say yes (though only if I want to, obviously), or do I say no because of age difference? Opinions please? 9 years... worth a try?

However, I should add that a 17 year old guy shouldn't think twice about dating a 26 year old woman if the situation arises (unless she has kids, of course). Funny how that works...

The fact that he's a software engineer is a dire warning though. He'll be boring as hell, crap in bed and probably still won't be able to fix your internet connection for you.

Did you get your cards yet? I have a papercut on my tongue thanks to you... *sigh* don't ask.

Originally posted by RookRAKThough seriously, in the grand scheme of things, age matters very little compared to every other facet of a relationship. I've dated several women more than 10 years younger than me, though not when I was in my 20s.

Then later she went out with a 26 year old and she became liberated intelectually and sexually, the affair only lasted the summer but it had blossomed her.
Afterwards we got back together, she was far more interesting bu tshe became the dominant person, she was confident, outgoing etc, and finally she dumped me.
Going out with a 26 year old as long as he is a decent bloke - has got to be for you and your ego.
