I think anyone with half a brain knew what I meant when I said age ain't nothing but a number. Anyone could discern that that meant if you love them, or even like them, give them a chance without letting age be a factor.

I think most places a 26 year old dating a 17 year old can lead to
statutory rape charges. But a year later, 27 vs 18, she can sign
contracts, etc. and is considered an adult. Have you asked your
own parents what they think of the guy? Do they know? Would you
feel ok bringing him to meet your parents?
I had girlfriend who was a lot younger a while back and she did not
take me to meet her folks, I felt she thought they would not like me
and I ended up concluding she was just too young for me even though
I was in love with her, I fell in love with someone a lot closer to my
age, we married and we are still together 26 years later.

well I told my mom about him, but it's not like we're close to going out yet or anything. I would definately introduce him to my parents though.
Besides, the laws are a bit different here... like, if nobody sues, no charges are filed. That's also why I'd definately introduce him to my parents-if they found out without me telling them, and they pressed charges, it could get ugly. But my mom is used to me liking people in their mid-twenties, so I don't think she'd make a fuss.

Since I know someone's gonna ask, I'll tell you about him.
I met him for the first time at the bowling alley shortly before I left for Greece. (He'd just moved here and he bowled a 277.) After nearly a month, I saw him again, and he instantly remembered me, even though we'd only talked for about 2 minutes.
So I kinda ...[text shortened]... , obviously), or do I say no because of age difference? Opinions please? 9 years... worth a try?
Choose for yourself. If you say yes, then just be cautious. That's what I would do myself. You'll never know if he'll try to put something in your drink...

There are a lot of red flags going up about this guy...
Find someone you don't have to question if it is right or not...

I'm slighty upset that she still has that avatar even after her promised birthday wishes. Oh well. I said slightly.

There's nine and a half years between my parents. They married when my Mum was 19, and are still married now some 26 years later...
So, no, I don't think the age gap should be a problem.

Isn't it really lame to steal someone else's joke? Phlab's was remotely funny, but you're just copying him. No own ideas today?
