Sci-Fi books

http://home.austarnet.com.au/petersykes/topscifi/lists_books_rank1.html

#6 was the very first SF book I read. I think I've only read 15 of them 😞 But I have a few more from the list. I should spend more time reading and less time on Stumble!

15 of them? I'd say you're pretty high up on the hierarchy. 😉

I had forgotten all about The Stainless Steel Rat books - they were great.

I remember reading about 8 of those in the list - I also liked Stranger in a Strange Land.

I think I'm going to read 1984, that sounds awesome.

It's very good. Kind of along the same lines, Children of Men was also very good...and of course, anything by Vonnegut. I was surprised Children of Men didn't make the list.

I've only read 7 of those and 5 of those are in the top ten.

EDIT: There's a lot of good books that didn't make the list. Most ofthe books there are old.

EDIT2: The top100 fantasy books is a joke.

I love Vonnegut. 🙂

...In a plutonic way.

We had to read that years ago when I was at school - no choice, good though.

I was forced to read Farenheit 451 - being me I saved it until the last minute, and had to read it in a night, which took away 90% of the fun.

I read a lot of those, too. Some of what was on there wasn't what I'd call fantasy, exactly. And although I thoroughly enjoyed some of them, I disagree with their ranking!

I've read 20 of them (and the whole series if it's a series - I read fast), and their ranking looks like it's made by 50+ year old geasers.

I've read the first 9, numbers 12, 13 (haven't gotten 15 I don't think - I need to read The Time Machine one of these days), 17, 22 (I didn't like it much), 28, 29, 31, 34, don't think 39 or 41 - need to read them; I've read 43, 47 (INCREDIBLE book), 53 (another good one)...still need 78...I've read 82, 85 (strange book)...and that's it.

That's 22 I think. I'm the champion!
