Yes, they are fun.
First you need to be a paying member to join one.
Check the "group size" if the group size is large you get a lot of games. The group is the number of people playing each other.
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw... most points from each group advances to the next round.
Most tourneys take a good year or so to finish...
Also be sure to check things like move days and timebanks to get an idea of how often you should be moving.
