I ran into this list of "strange" [sic!] travel gadgets. I like ostrich pillow, suitcase which becomes scooter and jakotogo - wind jackets that are in fact big bags.
I could add some suggestions and gadgets I really use.
Raincoat of the kind you can roll in so that it can put it in your pocket. You are using it on charter flights on holidays, when surrounded by parents holding kids in their laps. Those kids always rub theirs shoe soles on your cloth.
Magnetic chess set with holder for iphone.
Cooler on batteries which has en extension for cocktail mixer. .
