Good luck, RC. I think you will like the city of Cambridge if nothing else. It's a lovely city, although probably quite cold when you visit.
Originally posted by royalchickenNow I actually wake up and look at whats been written I can see a couple of things I missed. One, you'd already said you were doing maths. But, I was being blind. Two, you meant the 17th not the 10th. So, I got the wrong week. This means my sister has already done the interview (today, or yesterday to be accurate). So, I'll ask her what sort of stuff they asked and I'll send you a message with it in.
Thanks all 🙂
jimmi t, I'm interviewing for Robinson College for maths.
Aye, Toe. It's about -20 to -10 C here...and we got 15 inches of snow this weekend 🙄
Chrismo, I'll take a look...thanks
Jim.

RC, hope on behalf of all scotts 😕 that you like Edinburgh...what other universitys in Britian have you applied for??

Thank you, Paulie 🙂
Jacko, I applied to Universities of Bristol, Bath, Cambridge, East Anglia, Edinburgh, as well as Imperial College. I'm accepted at Bristol, Bath, Edinburgh, and East Anglia and the other two require interviews. I've heard Edinburgh is beautiful...
Hey RC, good luck in the interviews. Edinburgh is the most beautiful city in the UK, with possibly the most vibrant nightlife outside of London. It is quite expensive though. I turned down Cambridge in favour of Nottingham, because I didn't like the people (not in Cambridge itself, I mean the Univesity people) and if you are going nto spend what are going to be some of the most important years of your life there, you must be sure that it will be an enriching experience all around. Remember, in the world beyond about the age of 24 to 25, no-one cares wether you got your degree at Oxford, Cambridge or the postal school of the Outer Hebrides, but the memories and friends and life experience you take away will last forever. If you want a life in Academia, then possibly Cambridge is your best bet, but if you want a rounded life experience, that will teach you about being a person, and allow you to grow, then I'd look elsewhere. Just my tuppence worth. And hey, what do I know, I quit my degree to buy a pub!🙂
Originally posted by garyminfordThanks for the advice. I'll follow some advice I got earlier about getting advice and consider it very carefully 😀. What's the name of the pub?
