i have to say, i don't know how you folks do it! the uhaul was hard enough! i even managed to back it up, but very slowly and with lots of outside guidance.
i have enough trouble going backwards with our little trailer cart on our van. you want to go one way, but the trailer goes another. then you try to compensate, and it gets worse. finally, you jackknife and can't backup at all, so you go forwards and start it all over again!
in contrast, i've seen the pros, practically thread a needle going backwards with some of these monsters!!
it is really pretty amazing!

New forklift story out of Pt. Judith. My buddy Denis went to work and the boss says, "Mike had trouble coming up the ramp... go get the fork lift".
My bud Denny goes outside and sees a forklift laying on it's side wedged up against a boat... the flume had caught it.
Mike went in the water... had the flume gave way I am sure he'd be under the forklift... making this a not so funny story.
