I cant seem to remember, I was in and out of the room when it played, I do recall this guy actually lived and it was loosely based on his life. I got a great idea for a flick, Frank. How about "Red Hot Pawn, The Movie"? Think its got blockbuster potential?🙂

By: Ben Mezrich
The amazing inside story about a gambling ring of M.I.T. students who beat the system in Vegas -- and lived to tell how.
Robin Hood meets the Rat Pack when the best and the brightest of M.I.T.'s math students and engineers take up blackjack under the guidance of an eccentric mastermind. Their small blackjack club develops from an experiment in counting cards on M.I.T.'s campus into a ring of card savants with a system for playing large and winning big. In less than two years they take some of the world's most sophisticated casinos for more than three million dollars. But their success also brings with it the formidable ire of casino owners and launches them into the seedy underworld of corporate Vegas with its private investigators and other violent heavies.
Filled with tense action, high stakes, and incredibly close calls, Bringing Down the House is a nail-biting read that chronicles a real-life Ocean's Eleven. It's one story that Vegas does not want you to read.

Originally posted by pawnfondlerTheyre all smart kids who learned card counting very well. I guess its almost impossible to count all the cards in a 6 deck game, but what counters do is count in such a way that they can determine if a deck is high in 10 cards, Apparently when it is the odds favor the player. One tactic they would use was to have a guy at a table playing 5 bucks a hand, counting cards and waiting for a good deck. When he (she) gets the rich deck, they had a way of signalling partners who would sit in and go for the gold. A lot of these players that came in late would also smell of booze and act drunk, all the while knowing the decks were quite favorable. They would bet high, and come across as lucky drunken players. Apparently some weekend trips to Vegas net them hundreds of thousands of dollars doing this. Blackjack, with perfect play, gives only the slightest edge to the house, so if you can catch a "rich" deck and you know what to do with it you can make some serious dough🙂
its that the one where they figure out the roullette wheel. and bet on quadrants and made a modest percentage every wheel spin?
