Some of these pop songs that just have the catchiest lines I hear them once and for days I can't get them out of my head. Some off the top of my head;

Tony Basil : mickey

Mungo jerry : In the summertime

Jimmy soul :
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

and for classical, Grieg : In the hall of the mountain king

Hey, don't forget the best part:

"And now let's get things started
Why don't you get things started
It's time to get things started
On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational
This is what we call the Muppet Show!"

Glad I could be of help today.

I had a song like that....."You Needed Me" by Anne Murray, I'm ashamed to say. My mother said I was two when I learned this song and could sing it in its entirity. She said people were amazed, because it's a complicated song for a two-year old. It has lines like "So high that I could almost see eternity." Eternity is a hard word for a two-year old to say. What no one knew, though, is that I didn't know the word "eternity", and didn't know that was what she was saying. It sounded to me like "So high that I could almost see ya turn a 'T", so that's the way I sang it. But when it came out, it sounded pretty much like what Anne Murray sang, so no one was the wiser.

Dammit...

I've got it stuck in my head now, too.

Mickey, as well.

Satisfaction by Benny Benassi. It has this horrible beer ad to go with it.

Careful now, ad-men are watching this thread, looking for clues to help them stick stuff into our brains ...

Yes I too am a sufferer of CTSIH. Chief candidates in my case are the Muppet show theme and Christmas carols way out of season. In the latter case, don't hum in public or you get some realy funny looks.😳
I often find myself whistling "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" or "Frosty the Snowman"

Another song that gets stuck is "Our God is an Awesome God"

Both very annoying since I hate Christmas and don't believe in God!!!
