Well it is kind of close to the Christmas turkey.

Some people have Lobster for Christmas instead of turkey.

Dude/dudette you're treading on thin ice. I'm pretty sure that there'll soon be an American press report saying that New Zealand has WMD. Start eating Turkey if ya want to be free.

Why do either? Shellfish is what we do, that's why crayfish triple in price on Christmas Eve ...

Even when I ate meat I wasn't very fond of turkey.
As far as ham goes, I'll eat it when they make Kosher ham. 😕

This is an international site, don't confuse people that are not American. Thanksgiving is Turkey, Pumpkin Pie, Cranberry Sauce. Got it? Anything else is fine, as long as those things are there. Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving a national holiday during the American Civil War in the 1870's. Forget about the Pilgrims and the Indians, they fought like cats and dogs most of the time.

In my family (50+ gathering together for both holidays) we usually will have both turkey and ham for the holidays

Turkey is completely tasteless. It's like the spam of the bird-meats.

You must have had a Canadien turkey, like GBS. 😉
