Yes. Europe puts its clocks forwards and backwards... just like 90% of the known world...
And yes, putting the clocks forwards and backwards does have advantages.
They don't do it to test one's abilities with the micro-wave clock that is ever so hard to understand.

It's to give us more daylight in the evening, after supper, and not "waste it" in the early morning, when we don't really need it. Supposedly it saves energy, but I'm inclined to doubt that. Retailers love it and farmers hate it. You and I don't like it either. ðŸ˜
