Just watching a programme with the Norwegian host Skavlan, where Bill Gates and Magnus Carlsen are guests. They have just finished a game of chess - Magnus had 30 secs to move and Bill had 'all the time he needed'. It was a very quick game and Bill said, smiling, he usually lasts a little longer. Magnus said he normally doesn't use cheap tricks but this time he did.

🙂 No, he explained by moving some pieces but it was too fast for me to see what he meant. I'm always impressed by chess players because it's so difficult.

You mean Grand Masters because I am anything but impressive as a chess player.

It was a time odds game Magnus had 30 seconds, Gates had 2 mins.
Originally posted by ChessPraxis Let me clarify, Magnus had 30 seconds at the beginning, for the entire game. Bill had 2 mins at the beginning, for the entire game.
