When Uchess first launched, no one was hardly there. The only people that did wander through occasionally were from RHP. I quit going there awhile back.

Has anyone been going there recently??

I just went back there other day and the the site is great. Tons of people there, games always available. I've gotten a game within 30 seconds of posting it everytime. And the crazy thing is, that most of the people there aren't from RHP.
So, If you're one of those poeple that quit going there because you could never get a game, then go back- it's great!

Saw you there the other night... I'm 3-0, even beat a guy that confessed to me he cheated 🙂 .. lol.. he was one move away from mate and timed out ! Only had about 2 seconds to move that last piece however 🙂

Pretty cool, though seems everyone leaves straight after a game.

I really enjoy it, but have a hard time setting aside 20 minutes to do nothing but play. I lost two games due to outside distractions (wife had to have the computer 'right now', deliveryman came to my door).

If I get one complete game in, I usually leave as to not push my luck.

i know. i checked it out. it looked OK, but playchess.com and caissa.com have better interfaces for speed games.

remember the now defunct kasparovchess.com? i loved that interface. too bad it went down.

uChess is suffering a little from neglect, which is a shame. I thought I could spread my time between the two, but I can't easily do that.

Having said that, I am just waiting for a new reference book to come out in the new year, and that should inspire me to get a significant upgrade done.

The real limiting factor is that I can only afford a 50 user license for it at the moment! So you will never see more than that many people playing there at once.

The disconnectors are a bit troublesome though. It can be hard to actually win a game, even though you're trashing your opponent....😕

Java!? Java is what the Kasparov website used - it was EXTREMELY SLOW!
