it' severely sprained, doctor said it would hurt for about 6 weeks and be unbelievably painful the next 2 or 3 days. No bowling, no sports... *sigh* ah well 😕
But but but but but but but... Where is my rec? I had predicted the same diagnose.

Get well soon (although we all now it will not be soon though).

Is "strained" and "sprained" the same thing?
And thanks 😉

I'll say it in Dutch: 'verstuikt'. If that resembles anything in German, you might know if I told you in English what I ment in Dutch.

"Verstaucht". That's sprained. You should have said it in Dutch right away. 🙂

...you first have to face the operative question as to whether the
limb is worth saving...no sense spending money on a dead or
dying extremity...put on the garbage disposal..stick your arm down
it as far as you can get it...if you feel pain then you still have good
circulation and gangrene has not set in....so the limb is worth saving...take what is left ( scoop the bottom of the disposal out and
bag it ) and head for your doctor's office....and don't leave the house
without the co-pay on your insurance or you will only have to drive
back home to get it...thank you for your time....i now return you to
your usual tv channel...

one of my friends here is a nurse and had a chat to her last night through the pm. she reckoned most of the advice was about right... though i think it could get a bit confusing for angie when in pain. hope you get well soon.

Now here'sthe story. In our free periods on monday and thursday, my friend and I go play squash, and we usually get there by bike. Now today we were gonna do this too. A part of the way involves either going left, then right, or going straight and then left. My friend kinda swerved ...[text shortened]... or should I go see a doctor?
Thanks,
Angie

PS: Typing is uncomfortable too :'(
Just use soft drugs.
Smoke some dope, drink a few white Russians and swear a lot at the bowling competition.

That should do the trick.

yep... that's good advice. you don't want to go tripping as quite often you do trip over and it could make the problem twice as bad.

'escaping from the pain', could cause one to overdo it somewhat?
