Don't you agree it's time we had a revolution? I'm thinking the Diggers have a better chance this time, free economy has proved it can work and there's so much more scope for small rural communities now that everyone can stay in touch with the internet and telephone.
What say you??

Did you ever watch 'The Good Life'? So my ideal living.
I just had a look, in the states it was aired as 'good neighbours'

Originally posted by Rene-ClaudeA car's not the only thing one can get about on, anyway I think I'll still need to drive a car. I think it's not posiable to be completely self sufficiant. One of us will still have to work in the capitialist world to be able to provide things like rice and paper and pay national insurance and taxes. We'll still want to see the extended family and the kids will still want to play with their school friends, and go to school for that matter. Just our family life could be so different and more interesting. Be so nice if the kids didn't want to watch spongebob and hannahmontanna all day!

I've decided, a row or maybe a square of buildings- having the communal land in the middle. Other families would be interviewed, someone good at music, essential. One memeber of each family would be working in the community. We'd share meals, maybe there'd be a very big dining room in one of the houses. We'd all need seperate wash facilities, on suit showers yeah. One TV room and watch a film togeather on a friday night maybe. Minibus and trips togeather. Umm maybe trips to exchange with other communities free holiday 😉 Kids art work on all the walls, their own massive gallery. A pottery room come art studio. A big kitchen and a rota of who needs to cook. Not too keen on the idea of comminual washing of clothes. Maybe just a few washing machines, that run on solor power, naturally.
