Watched this movie again last night... is it as good as I enjoyed it? I've got a feeling the movie sucked and I just have poor taste.

From what I remember I enjoyed the movie. It was not one of Bruce’s best but it was not his worst either. I still to this day from time to time dream of living with the luck of never getting sick or hurt.

I've never seen it, but this is the first time I've heard anything good about it.

I would go with your own feelings when it comes to movies, dont let yourself be influenced by those who claim to be 'cultured'.

Lots of people say films are bad without even watching them, like the cable guy which is actually very funny in parts.

I really liked it, and I don't usually go for those types of big Hollywood things. A pretty solid effort, I thought.

Cable Guy was great. I could watch the bathroom scene over and over on a loop.

Peanuts!

Cable Guy was brilliant. I can't stand Jim Carrey, but I loved Cable Guy.

I did too. But a lot of people sure bash that flick. I suppose what makes something good, like wine or movies or whatever, is if you like it.
It doesn't matter a whole bunch what others think.

I heard that it was his favorite movie that he'd done. I had new respect for him after hearing that.

it was panned by critics, but not because it wasn't good, but the expectation was very high for a M Knight Shamalayan(?) movie. They can't all be "The Sixth Sense"😛

I suspect it's another one of those movies which comics fans (old or new) get, but others don't. it wasn't the greatest movie ever made, but I quite liked it.

I loved the darkness of that movie. I wonder if people panned it because it was the first time he had done anything dramatic and not just another cookie cutter comedy?

No, that can't be what makes something good, because then, if some people liked it, and others didn't, it would be simultaneously good and not-good. And since these are opposite qualities which each preclude the other, this can't be the case.

What IS true, is that you are entitled to your own opinion and you don't have to mind anyone else's. But that doesn't mean that your opinion is objectively as good as that of someone who is an expert in the field. And yes, I can say what would make someone an expert.

I love that movie, absolutely. I thought it was very dark with an interesting story. 😀
