One of the silent sins.
No rapport, no familiarity. Become familiar before attempting so.
Note to self, shared with friends.
I take offense at men (and some women) who think they can lay hands on me (I'm talking like a hand around the shoulder or waist when standing next to me or putting a hand around my arm or even holding my hand when standing in front of me talking) even when they barely know me. I try to discourage this because with some people you give them an inch and they take a mile. I'll let you know when you can touch me, thank you very much.

Suzianne, apparently you cut along some exposed nerves: 24 days without a single reply.

What's wrong with good old fashioned reserve? I'm not talking about "we haven't been introduced", I'm talking about not giving away large chunks of yourself to strangers. Was a time when your relative died in a big messy event (air crash for example) and you didn't rush to tell the TV cameras about it. Remember?

Some people out there are like that though, they can't help it.
Tactile I think is the word for it. They constantly want to touch
you as they talk to you. They feel as if they communicate better
as they do this.

I think it's extraordinary why people do this and it comes naturally
to them as natural as breathing. Another thing I can't stand is people
who talk to you with their eyes closed.

Guess we'll have to wait for Suzianne to comment.

Most, in my view, are respectful. They freely banter at the word level but seldom attack personalities.
