United States choking in smoke

Most of the U.S. is enveloped in a thick choking smoke!

Dry lightning in my neck of the woods tonight, that should make things better. 😕

I say send out herds of teamed feral or domestic cats to absorb, in their matted, already stinking fur, the toxic smokiness which fills our nation with a carcinogenic mist of unparalled proportions.

Make the blighters earn their way, rather than carry on about nothing as their lot usually does, lying about, and breathing the filthy, caliginous air.

Well, lung cancer is a larger killer than many other diseases combined, in the U.S., if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to verify that. Distressing, but it's the consequence of the lifestyles we've chosen/had forced upon us, to an extent, along with genetics, certainly.

Personally, I miss thunder and lightning. We don't have thunderstorms in Northern CA. Still, fires and smoke I can do without.

On the other hand, a little looting might be nice. I'd kinda like a flat-screen TV.

You'd only be able to get the money for the TV/new house after a 3-5 month wait for the insurance company, in the meantime living in a Motel 6, with some super-cheap honeymooners living in the room above yours.

I'm sure that happens all the time somewhere.

Ha! Damn straight! I still consider it home. It was kinda nice growing up right outside New York City.
