Your decision to ban me without warning was very unethical, as you had no reasonable grounds to do so. If I am not reinstated, with all my current games still inaccessible, I will take you to the Hague, to the Europen Court of Human Rights. This is plain victimisation.

I'm assuming you were banned for making all those obscene posts. Are you naturally that stupid, or did you forget to take your medication?

What I have observed as a patron of this site is a lot of instances where it would infer that your posts had been moderated (i.e. your name show up as the last poster, but no post is found in the thread). I would deduce that your posts contained content that was unsuitable for a public forum and would have been considered offensive. Being that I have seen this MANY times, it would seem to me that you have been making MANY posts that contain vulgar language. This site is run not-for-profit, and as such its resources are limited. If it is the case that you have been making numerous vulgar posts, then it is only rational that the site administrators revoke your privelages.

A lot of people come here to play chess and chat in a civilized manner (approx 25k). We appreciate that membership is optional and that the site is run as well as many professional sites (for money). The bottom line is that administration doesn't have the time and resources to constantly moderate the uncouth and frequent posts that you have insisted upon making. Perhaps if you would like to kindly ask them to reinstate you under the promise that you will cease making offensive comments, then perhaps they will give you another shot. All of this is my presumption as I don't really know what happened. I'm just a guy who likes to come here to play chess and chat. Nonetheless, I have been here long enough to know that the administrators don't kick people out unless there is really a big problem.

Before you start making legal assessments, I think you should look into international law first. I'm no lawyer, but from what I do know I can't see your case even getting to court. If my presumptions are correct, then you have acted in an unneccesary destuctive manner that drains the sites resources and puts the administration at risk for your behavior. They are responsible for what is said in the forums, and as such they have the right to remove an individuals access from their services if that individual acts in a manner that jeopardizes their ability to comply with the legally required regulation of the aforementioned services. Furthermore, any individual who acts in such a manner that they pose a threat to the service through an agressive and destructive means of using unprecedented amounts of the services resources could be considered responsible for any damages the service incurred directly due to their actions.

Like I said, I'm no laywer. Despite that, I think you have the idea reversed as to who should take who to court. Again, this is all speculation on my part. The REASONABLE solution is to cease the abusive dialog and kindly request to have your privilages restored.

My posts were not vulgar in the slightest, but humorous all the same. If chess players do not like humour, I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I can assure you that most of us do indeed like humor. So, you're telling me that there was nothing in your posts that wouldn't be offensive at all? No "colorful metaphors"? I might also ask if your posts had some substance to them. Just a quick smart alek line is fine, but if there is a line between that and spam. Do either of these apply?

I read all of your moderated posts, and they were vulgar. So not only are you offensive, you're also a liar. Go ahead and take your business elsewhere, it's not like you've supported the site anyway.

They were not offensive at all, so calling me a liar is completely unjustified. It is people like you that make me sick.

He has started another thread requesting that whoever banned him speak with him about it. I trust you guys when you say that it was explicit, but do you think it could be his perception of what is permissable is just a little different? Perhaps if he was just "suggestive" in his posts, then perhaps he doesn't understand where the fine line is. In other words: Do you think this guy can be brought to terms with the code of conduct and is worth another chance?

Ummm......hey man, I'm trying to get them to give you a chance here, but it's not going to help your case if you keep talking like that. I know you're upset, but let's all just calm down. I still think we can find a reasonable solution to this one way or another.

Being accused of being a liar is not very pleasant, so telling me to calm down while others make rash comments like that is unattainable. I do appreciate you trying to get others to give me another chance, but what is the point? People inherently have prejudices, which is what is wrong with the world today. If I am a target for these sorts of people, it looks like I cannot win. :'(

I still think you can win, it just migh mean swallowing a little pride and keeping your cool though. I don't mean that's easy, but I think you can do it. 😉

Thank you for your support. My name is just an immensely comical anagram of my real name, Tom Ucker, and people should just deal with it. If people get offended by my name, they should not bother using the internet because there are no proper restrictions on what words can or cannot be used. Furthermore, if my name is found offensive, why can't the people who are offended by it just tell me instead of going behind my back and getting me banned?

Please. The one of your posts that I saw before a moderator caught it was certainly worthy of deletion.

It was in the Chess Forum, on the "Younger than Bobby Fischer" thread, and it had nothing to do with chess, but instead read, in its entirety:

"I have a big [male generative organ]."

Care to argue why that post shouldn't have been deleted?

Sorry, bub, you're in the wrong. Now stop wasting the moderators' time, and confine your wit and wisdom to more appropriate venues (i.e., public restrooms).

Actually, I bet you're just a common troll, posting this stuff just to make people mad.

Internet Troll-- what a noble calling that is. I'm sure your parents are very proud.

Pawn Star only access to forums, anyone? It looks better and better all the time.
