@My-King-And-I saidHow easy do you think the op is for the surgeon, with the patient staring back at him the whole time ?!
I'd go with eye surgery too.
I'm just waiting for a less macabre method than the "we cut open your eyes while you are awake" method ๐คฎ

@Very-Rusty saidI’m convinced. Will schedule it for autumn this year.
Yes, I was able to do that! Just need a cheap pair for close up reading. Don't need a prescription can get at any Dollar store.

@My-King-And-I saidMy eye Doctor told me I shouldn't have been driving how do I see the signs on the road. I guess I was just use to the area and knew all the signs and never even noticed. I had the cataract surgery one eye first waited a month or so then had the other one done. I now have two cards in case I set the alarm off at the airport....LOL... That can be a little fun too!!! I don't know why they would set the alarm off at an airport but apparently that is what I was told. It actually happened once to a friend of mine. Really nothing to the surgery, good to have someone to put in the drops needed afterwards for you for a few days.
The whole thing is repulsive and it's sad because my eye doctor asked me how I even see anything so I definitely need the surgery but I'm too wimpy for the current method.

@Very-Rusty
I've heard people with bad eyes get used to what they see and that's why they can get around relatively good.
How much did it cost to have both of them fixed?
@My-King-And-I saidIt has to back 20 years or so ago, I don't recall the amount now, and it wouldn't matter as it probably has went up considerably from back then. I think it was around 200.00 for each one. I have no idea what it would cost today, you could probably google it. Nothing for the Surgery here in Nova Scotia, just had to pay for the lenses they put in. Now there is price range I am told. I am sure it much more expensive in today's world.

@My-King-And-I saidLol ... ๐ Is that transplantable ?
You throwing that away?
Asking for a friend...
@moonbus saidYes. No glasses required. I now wear only sunglasses, and occasionally may need reading glasses for fine print. According to the reports these artificial lenses last a lifetime, with no possibiility of the cataracts returning.
My Dr. tells me that I might be able to dispense w my distance glasses, too. Did you find this to be the case ?
@My-King-And-I saidJeffery Dahmer? Oh wait…he’s no longer with us.๐ค

@Great-Big-Stees said๐ so gross!
Jeffery Dahmer? Oh wait…he’s no longer with us.๐ค
I use unconventional bait when fishing.
Fun Fact: Fish are more attracted to candy worms than real worms.
It's also less gross baiting the hook.
@moonbus saidLol, no, I had my dad's nose, unfortunately. All better now.
Oh, had it rearranged in a saloon dust up, eh? I’ll bet the dude didn‘t walk out under his own power though.

And talking about taking punches, I've shown up to work with a black eye on more than one occasion, which prompted one of my supervisors to give me the talk about "domestic abuse is a serious issue and we have programs for that, especially if you need to get away from an abusive partner". Now I actually make an attempt to cover these up because we have a lot of Karens at work who think it's their right to get in your business.
