@Very-Rusty saidI get mine (reading glasses) at Walgreens. I use them for "one-stop shopping". Lol. They have everything these days.
Yes, I was able to do that! Just need a cheap pair for close up reading. Don't need a prescription can get at any Dollar store.

@Suzianne saidI don't believe we have a Walgreen's here in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Maybe our Dollar store is similar? π
I remember a time when someone would be embarrassed to be seen in a Dollar store, now people brag about what they got for cheap, but most of the stuff there is cheap. You pay for what you get, but sometimes all you need is cheap π

@Suzianne saidIn your case, I’d sooner assume it was Klingon mating rituals.
And talking about taking punches, I've shown up to work with a black eye on more than one occasion, which prompted one of my supervisors to give me the talk about "domestic abuse is a serious issue and we have programs for that, especially if you need to get away from an abusive partner". Now I actually make an attempt to cover these up because we have a lot of Karens at work who think it's their right to get in your business.
π
@My-King-And-I saidI believe you have a very warped mind. π
@Suzianne
At least the Karen's care a little.
The Shayneeqwas wouldn't care if you got run over by a bus. Probably record it.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidCouldn't you outsource it somehow?
A brain reduction.
It is a burden to carry around so much intelligence.
@Very-Rusty saidA weird thing going on down here in the USA, at a time when a lot of families' budgets are stressed, is that some of the dollar and outlet stores have been closing.

@Arkturos saidI don't think it is weird at all. What do you think was going to happen with your President's tariff's? It will just be a matter of time before even the republican's turn on him.

@Very-Rusty saidI’m starting to take a closer look at the markets. Might be some bargains in the offing.π€π

@Great-Big-Stees saidI never followed the markets as I felt it was too big a gamble personally.

My Brother-In-Law followed them since he was a young teenager and knew them quite well. He told me back many decades ago that he had been watch gold and it had been climbing fast and when it was $50.00 an ounce he told me I should invest when I had an extra $50.00 and keep building on it. Well I didn't listen to him!!! π’
We all know where Gold is now an once. Sometimes I am too bull headed for my own good. If I had only dropped a grand into it, at $50.00 an ounce!! π

@Very-Rusty saidMy of my “speculative” investments was done with discretionary funds. Some “worked” others didn’t but fortunately the former did better than the latter.π
