That might make for an interesting variation on the game. If we could carry our pieces over to the next game, it would be like playing the same game, only in steps.
Depending on the number of pieces left over, the board would have to increase the number of squares to maintain a certain number of vacant squares at the beginning of the next step.
But, the problem is that each player would have to have the same number and kinds of pieces each. Maybe, I think.
Never mind. It's way too complicated.
