Easy. You intend to click your mouse on say d4 but you actually click on the intersection of d4 and d5. Your piece gets moved to say d5 while you think it is on d4. Since your usually winning by a large margin you don't give it a second look and click move. Usually as you click move you say..."OH ****."

I clicked on my Rook and entered. I sacrificed it get to a easy end game. When I came home from work to play the game to my suprise I had clicked on my Queen. I lost my Queen and I stoped playing in the morning. Like I stated before, I meant to clink enter. Such a thing is considered touch move by the rules.

now lets say I lose to a weak player today...but say in 2 years from now I am listed as a 2000+ player would that be considered an upset or is an upset based on current playing strength. sometimes you lose early and then go on a winning streak
