I think this team looks great
solid defense
not as spectacular as Brazil or as exciting as chile or argentina, but this is a solid, solid team
let's not forget that in the history of this event only 7 countries have ever won and only 5 have won more than once (each of the solo winners pulling off a lucky, one-time, home victory)
only three teams have won more than Uruguay, a two-time cup champion
Originally posted by Red NightAnd only one one-time winner has never been back to a final. Hint. Starts with a dyslexic E. I think they stole/bought the 66 cup!

Honestly, alot of countries could learn from USA 2002 or ghana this year
if you want to go deeper, leave the overage stars at home. send youth
Originally posted by Red NightNah! They stole it. Watch the replays of that disputed goal in extra time. Was not a goal! They stole the cup!

Here's an even more convincing view from a more lateral angle.

Indeed karma is hell!
losing stinks, particularly when you suffer from a national delusion that you are good at something that you are clearly not

Originally posted by scacchipazzoit is sort of sad really, the EPL is a good league. too many teams, but the top teams are very good

of course, most of the players come from over seas, so it is a dual edged sword for englanders. they have a great league but most of their national team plays for the perennially weak clubs
