Perhaps it was if you had blinders on! It was more than obvious to anyone who watched it that in the 8th, the Japanese runner did not leave the base before Winn caught the ball. If you're happy with winning a game on a controversial call, then good for you, personally, I thought Japan was the best team on the field. Not to worry though, I think the Dominican Republic will be the team to beat, even without A Rod.
