I've watched quite a few of the games and they've been very well-played and have a tense, playoff atmosphere. I've been particulary interested in watching the Cuban team which has played above expectations though it obviously has no major leaguers. The Cubans play Puerto Rico tomorrow for a place in the semi-finals; the Puerto Ricans mauled them last Friday and so the Cubans will be heavy underdogs, but ya never know (Cuba beat Venzuela a few days ago and the Venzuelans shut out Puerto Rico yesterday, though they were eliminated in a 2-1 heartbreaker against the Dominican Republic tonight).
Korea has been quite a cinderella story; they were expected to get through the Chinese teams but their victory over Japan in the first round was a big surprise and obviously so was their upset of the US. Right now they're the only unbeaten team in the tourney and unless they're badly trounced by the Japanese in their next game will make it to the semi-finals.
