Bah, stop crying, go smoke a cigar.

Ghana keeps faking injuries to keep the clock moving.

that's the most annoying thing... wait a few secs and they will start cornering the ball...

Italy won. They did their part. We lost.

I'm serious. The vast majority of the world loves this game and I want to know why. Nobody takes dives in baseball (there are no ties in baseball either).

I mean, the USA truly sucks this World Cup as we can see and that is fine, I actually want to see England win it.

But the very sport is clearly flawed. How can what can easily be called the world's game be this flawed?

ask brighter fellow citizens, like derfel... he's quite pissed off now for the defeat BUT he gets the passion now... seriously... no mocking intended

😉

now, I am really sad... Costa Rica out, U.S. out, Trinidad & Tobago out... 😞 I wanted the 4 teams from the area to go to the next round...

I was going to suggest something, but oops, too late, you lost.

Again.

So go home and stfu.

EDIT: in case that's a bit rude for some of you...

Footie really is a simple game, goals, players, balls, but the crowd and atmosphere make it special.

O, yea. Especially the refs. They're very *simple* and *special*.

I usually don't like to blame, but in this case the blame can be split. The US was lackluster today, bigtime. That ref totally blew that call in the box though.

So you seem to know something about this game. I'm trying to figure out how to feel about this, maybe you can help. It seems to me that in the second game VS Italy we got at least 1 red card we should not have. In this game we got a PK called against us that was clearly a missed call by the ref. Is this simply part of soccer? We could certainly have played better which would have helped make some of those calls matter less (although I'm not quite sure what you can do with only 9 players) but is poor officiating rampant in this sport or did the US just get bad refs...twice?

From a fellow American: stop whining. Our team dragged ass out there today. Sure, the PK was a blown call, but without it we still had a draw--no good.
