He's torn his hamstring, out for 6weeks, no chance to come back in the world cup I wouldn't think. Don't think Czech rep will win he world cup without him now.

I play football so I know what I'm talking about too 🙂 the way he was running and jolted up like that was a definate hamstring and will take about 4-6weeks to heal.

Horrible effort by the US.

Was that the fifth ranked team in the world? 😠

Horrible!

Losing is one thing, but not putting the effort into the game is inexcusable.

They need to look in the mirror, then forget about this loss, and play with some pride vs. Italy on Saturday, or it's over.

nah, patience, mate... a draw against Italy and a victory on Ghana will do it 😉

yeah, but they must look themselves in the mirror and get b*tchslapped by Bruce

To be fair the chicks looked good - probably the best opening performance by a team so far?

Arsenal must be happy.

Agreed. In 2nd and 3rd place would be Germany's 4-2 and Mexico's 3-1 but the chicks take the 1st indeed

I can be patient when I see a great effort being put forward - that wasn't the case today. I can't imagine why, on the biggest stage they've played on, that the effort wasn't there.

I expect to see much better play against Italy.

Look at the amount o ...[text shortened]... face! Not dissing your nation or even saying you have a weak team, but 5th best?? No way man!
Look, I could personally give a rat's ass where the US is ranked. I'm new to futbol and the ranking is what I heard from the heads on TV. The effort was terrible no matter where they're ranked.

Although it's true that (a) the FIFA ranking is ridiculous, and (b) USA and Mexico have it easy in Concacaf (that's how the are is named, you know), both do great in the continental competitions, and when I say continental I mean North, Central and South America.

Therefore, I was surprised too at the 3-0 because the US is not that bad, 5th or 90th according to FIFA...

Edit. And yeah, as eagles say, the lack of effort was heartbreaking since that is what the distinguishes the team.
