I read a book about soft drink making.
According ti the author,the cola nut itself has little effect on the flavoring of the product.The cola flavor is a combination of
cola nut,vanilla,and lemon juice.

And of course the original recipe had a good sized portion of coke as
well, the snorting kind.

this was more a book to tell you how to male your own soda pop
but it did tell about the name brands and history as well

The best Coca-cola is made in Mexico where they still use cane sugar instead of corn sweetner. Mexican Coke gets swept up quickly in the local Mexican markets...corn sweetners suck!!

One day earlier, on November 3, the company announced that Vanilla Coke and its diet counterpart would be discontinued in the United Kingdom by early 2006-Source.

Coca-Cola said it plans to introduce Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke in North America in January 2006. The company said Vanilla Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke may be made available again in the future.
