I have listened to the whining of people who don't like the colour theme of RedHotPawn and have made RHPTray now work with:
RedHotPawn.com
RedHotChess.com
TimeForChess.com
ChessAtWork.com
I have also added a "Refresh Now!" option to the menu.
The latest build can be found at:

As always I'm looking for feedback on how these changes help the tool become more usefull and any other suggestions you may have

While I'm sure that many users might appriciate your programming efforts, one has to ask the question - Since this is a FREE program what do you get out of it?
Keep in mind that the educated members at RHP know that running an .exe program on their system from a 3rd party vendor (which is what you are) could compromise the security of the entire system! Hence, a person running your module COULD lose everything on their hard drive! 😳
Originally posted by XanthosNZThis may be due to the fact that it seems to only work with cookies created by Internet Explorer. I would suggest if you still have IE installed on your computer to log in to RHP in IE once. This will create the cookie needed and you can still use firefox after that.
Nope still get nothing but the exclamation mark. I can click it to open the 'my games' page (in a new tab in Firefox which is nice) but it still won't work as it should.

A minority of free programs have spyware on them; look at mIRC, RHPTray (it's spyware free, if you are that paranoid, download it, save it to your HDD, and scan it with virus protection [assuming you have that]), Firefox (as mentioned before).
RHPTray is a brilliant program, but my only nag about it is that it opens up the My Games page in IE, not Maxthon, my browser.

I do think that people have become overly cautious about applications all hiding a trojan horse of some kind. I created this application for myself to keep me informed of when I have games available. That's what I get out of it. I just thought that others might be interested in doing the same thing. I'm not offering something that will grow hair or make your penis bigger, just a simple application that does a simple task. I'm a professional software engineer who has a few extra minutes to help myself and the community out. I'm not a con man.
Ask anyone who has installed it if it tried to sell them Viagra. I ensure you that it has not. It's running it on my machine at home and at work. If you can't trust me then you're missing out.

BTW: If you'd rather pay me $19.95 + shipping and handling for it I'll have no problem taking your personal cheque.
Originally posted by D43M0NSorry about that. I'm not actually referencing IE directly anywhere. Is it possible that IE is still set as your default web browser? I'll check into it to see if I can make sure it only uses the default.

Originally posted by johnbartYes that worked. However it seems that if I log in to TFC using IE then I can use it. However I can't also be logged into TFC (or RHP or any other variation) using Firefox.

If I log in using Firefox the tool goes back to not working.
Originally posted by johnbartHow do I check that? I only use IE for Flash, because Maxthon won't recognize the plug-in (😛), and everything on desktop opens in Maxthon...I'm 99% sure it's the default browser.
Sorry about that. I'm not actually referencing IE directly anywhere. Is it possible that IE is still set as your default web browser? I'll check into it to see if I can make sure it only uses the default.

No problem. Kudos to johnbart for writing this nice little program. It's a shame he has to defend himself against unfounded accusations.
[edit: Now I'm hoping for a combination of this tool and Russ's recent RHP tracker. A program that pops up whenever something changes in the number games I have waiting]
