And you feel the need to make this claim on an internet message board?
Some people don't change the way they talk regardless of the medium used.

@booger said
I don't understand people who change when they post online. Are you suggesting your online persona is not what we would expect in person?
Of course, my persona is no different from what I am like in real life. Very Rusty is, apparently, the kind of person ~ in real life ~ who starts alluding to supposed physical prowess and making insinuations of violent retribution when he finds himself on a message board. Maybe you are too?

So you endorse the "internet tough guy" schtick if it's purveyed by the likes of you and Very Rusty?

Maybe...I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm a friendly guy until I get mad and I explode.
No seperation from me in person and me using any other form of communication.

I'm just saying the classic bar fighter back in the 80's and 90's in Canada was an actual common occurrence.

Not today no.

Back then it was a thing.

No at first.

It doesn't take long to decipher who changes when they post and who doesn't. If they are being the same person then how can you blame them?

I don't see a need to change how you are just because it's the internet or anything else.

And what does any of this have to do with what I said to Earl of Trumps a couple of pages ago?

So you will be making threats of violence on an internet message board if that's the form of communication you choose?

I'm not scrolling back.

You realize I out rank you right?

It's not so much a case of casting "blame"; it's more a case of calling out pathetic online banter.

I haven't yet but if I felt it necessary I would.

Rusty has hardly ever threatened anyone other than talking his bluster.
You're smart enough to know the difference.

Well then, we are cut from differ ent bits of cloth. To me, people posting about how they're going to visit violence upon other posters because of things they say on an internet forum are engaging in online banter of the most oafish and pitiful kind. Each to their own, I suppose.

Ya true.

I see your point, I do.

I'm just saying some people don't change because of the communication medium.
I'm sure he would talk the same way in person.

I don't need to be "smart" to describe it as some of the scummiest posting on this forum.

Imagine using an internet dating site and you want them to be better online... because it's online...

I'd rather know who I am meeting.
