I aslo liked Elite, and other old text based games (Kings Quest II, Zork [which, unfortunately rhymed with DorkπŸ˜‰])

I also forgot about the GTa series. Vice City (PC) was a bit short, but free style crime can't get any better.

Wow. I remember playing that on a hercules monitor (orange and black). Could never do raids as it crashed!

Oh yeah SSX rocks! Its just that TUNE that gets me wanting to do more Uber moves... " its time to ... its TRICKY, its TRICKEY "

PS there is a bug in that one Honalulu map. You can jump off the edge from the very start and fall all the way to the end.. you just cant land the jump unfortunitely πŸ™

I spent countless hours playing Shogun - Total War as well. I never got my hand on Medieval but will definitely be getting the new Rome one that's coming out sometime next year. Some of the screen shots I've seen are enough to make you wet your pants.
In the UK there's actually been a TV series based on the Rome: Total War engine. In "Time Commanders", teams of contestants (consisting of 2 'generals' and 2 'lieutenants'πŸ˜‰ pitted their wits against the computer, with a couple of historians commenting on how well they were doing compared to what happened in the real-life battle.

Mr Do (Arcade) - bit like pacman
Galaxian (Arcade) - space invaders +
Hyper Sports (Arcade) - bone shaker
Dayley Thompsons Declathlon (C64) - destroyed at least 4 joysticks!
Manic Minor (C64) - better than Jet Set Willy
Mission Impossible (C64) - how long did I spend completing this
Commando (C64) - beat the score - round and round...
Doom et al. (PC) - motion sickness
Golden Eye (N64) - only decent game for that console
MotoGP 2 (Xbox) - wasted endless hours on live

Must be at least another 1000 games from machines ranging from C64, Amiga, PC, N64 and Xbox. I really would hate to clock up the time I've spent playing video games or for that matter how much I've spent!

Now, I haven't been on the site for long, but I was wondering...who here is a avid video game addict? I know I am, but not anymore (at least, not much) because I have end-of-year exams soon and I have spent the last 2 months studying like it's the end of the world. Any one who does play, check in here, and I would also like to know what games you play.

Other oldies-but-goodies:
Master Of Magic
Master of Orion II
The Star Control series

And taking the time-machine further:
Defender Of The Crown
Elite
Bard's Tale III
etc.
etc.

😏

Of the little more recent games, Baldur's Gate II, and the add-on Throne of Bhaal really got me ...[text shortened]... th a completely self-created party, and once playing solo, running a single character)

-Jarno
Haven't played most of those. I played Bard's Tale the original, on my father's old machine. I remember trying to install Wolfenstein 3d and getting the amusing message: "You need at least a 286" πŸ˜€
Defender of the Crown I used to play on the original NES. Some other favorites from that machine:
Spy Hunter
Double Dribble
RBI Baseball
