I've just found a web site dedicated to viruses and virus creation. I think it has just about every virus on record, listed for you to download. It even has virus creation tools. :'(:'(:'(
I collected them 'cos a few years ago, when I was more involved in programming, it was lots of fun for me disassembling their code and studying how these little pest propagate/reproduce themselves.
i.e., it was an "academic" exercise for me.
Virus creation tools are pure crap. So, don't worry about them.
Only real programmers can create a new virus. But I can't understand why a good programmer would do so, unless he's a sick person. Or s/he is making serious research on the theme.
So, don't be afraid. I always think that the persons to be afraid of, are those working for Symantec and such. They must keep their business running 🙂

And I believe they are right while asking for a fee to run most advanced versions. After all, money makes the world going around 🙂
