Never heard of that before, but I suppose if you hold your breath long enough nothing can hurt you.

I guess it's the principle that if you breath in and hold your breath your pores close.

I was told about this to trap biting mosquitos, they can't get out and you can squish them so they won't bite anyone else. It seems to work.

If a wasp sting relies on open pores, then it may well work.

It's obviously rubbish, whether you hold your breath or not your skin is soft enough to be pierced by a wasp's stinger. And anyway, holding your breath does not close of the pores in your skin.

Unfortunately no matter how hard you try you physically cannot hold your breath until you die.

are you stating from fact? or just guessing,? My Dad use to catch wasp, hold his breath and chase his sisters. try it somtime, get a wasp put it on your arm, you'll see it trying to sting, but it cant, I dont know how it works, but it does, (at least to my family,)

Are you serious?! If so I fear for America's youth, at least those going through the Wyoming school system. Good God!

This is a theory worth testing. I know where there is a hornet's nest. If you will give the limb it is on a good shake.
