Try this one on for size.

Arguing with him is like trying to throw a bouncy rubber ball REALLY hard against a wall to see if it will break.

It's no fun and you'll probably just end up with a sore arm...
Ok Peeps, friends and foe, will catch you later, looks like hurricane kyle is coming our way. Want to make sure everything is secure. Later!

This isn't even the worst example of bad English.

You don't live in America, but if you did, you'd be driven insane from the bad English in one day.

I hear something like this every single day from some idiot or another: "Me and my wife went to that party." It's becoming common usage among the uneducated hordes here.

Bad grammar is inexcusable ANYWHERE. Just because this is a chess site doesn't make it OK.
English is not my first languge, it is no more than logical that I make mistakes.

They don't really allow that sort of thing here. Maybe you should just stay in Texas for the ceremony and come over for the honeymoon.

It's not my first language either, but there are enough tools out there on the Internet - including a spell-checker built right into FireFox - and more than enough general information on a myriad of websites, that continually making grammatical errors becomes inexcusable.

This is an English site after all, so English not being your first language won't get you much sympathy.

BTW, I was never actually referring to you personally here. You seem to have more of a basic grasp of the language than many native English speakers in these forums.

Are you STUPIED?

This is an English chess site meant for a larger international community. It's just natural that people from around the world with a less than perfect English also post here.

I don't see why English not being your native language shouldn't grant you some slack.

Whatever.

My English isn't perfect, but I constantly work on it to improve. I will try to give everyone a chance - or slack, if you prefer, but when my English is better than 'native' English speakers' and they say it doesn't matter that their English is horrible, as this is a chess site, it pisses me off.
I may have gone off on a little tangent before, but this was the sole reason for my little rant...

I'm not some kind of Language Nazi who would want to chase people away because their grammar is bad. ๐Ÿ˜•

What books did you read to take you from Crowleys level to your current level in the last few months? ๐Ÿ™„
