you may be right that this is part of skeeter's style ,
there is a good place for timeout tricks and swindles to be played - they are within the rules, this is the game i know over the board also, chess is weaker without it, and i imagine you know it also.
without these tricks chess becomes a boring convention of "i will respectfully yield in some pathetic gentlemanly game of polite boring rubbish".
skeeter is obviously a tough nut to crack in EVERY sense.
(how often does kasparov lose on timeout? - but he will win on it with no hesitation)
