This is so good, I had to copy it.

Thanks Flex

I also had to move it so the text would not be shorten.

Congrats again Michelle

you may be right that this is part of skeeter's style ,

there is a good place for timeout tricks and swindles to be played - they are within the rules, this is the game i know over the board also, chess is weaker without it, and i imagine you know it also.

without these tricks chess becomes a boring convention of "i will respectfully yield in some ...[text shortened]... se.

(how often does kasparov lose on timeout? - but he will win on it with no hesitation)

I agree totally and would like to extend my respect to skeeter. Doesn't mean i didn't raise an eye brow at a certain thread though 😉

Thanks again prad, but was it really 'nobler in the mind' or should I just shoulder arms against a sea of troubles to suffer 'the heartache and a thousand un-natural posts?

You should revel in the controversy, it's the mark of a champ (especially in chess 😉)

If were not a little mad and generally silly
I should give you my advice upon the subject, willy-nilly;
I should show you in a moment how to grapple with the question,
And you'd really be astonished at the force of my suggestion.
On the subject I shall write you a most valuable letter,
Full of excellent suggestions when I feel a little better,
But at present I'm afraid I am as mad as any hatter,
So I'll keep 'em to myself, for my opinion doesn't matter!

i have found that gilbert & sullivan can usually answer the deepest of shakespearean questions 🙂

.... and she would be more moderate and more temperate but rough winds have shaken this darling bud and so her summers lease has all too short a date.

My question is why are some people upset at Skeeter and her number 1 rating? I guess it is just me because I play on this site just for the pleasure of playing. I'm not getting paid to play chess so what is the controversy? It is only a game people. My congrats to skeeter on her ranking. If Mr. Tebb is upset about the rating then he should challenge skeeter to a game but, I don't see any postings from him so he must not be too concerned about it. Apparantly her record speaks for itself. I will probably never attain a ranking that high because I make too many moves a month and most of them are bone head moves anyways. While I love to play chess, I also like to do other things in life. Skeeter go and enjoy your rating and have a beer to celebrate it. Preferably a Guinness stout but, then again I'm biased.😀

perhaps, but winds change their intensity and direction too.

and so, from pirates of penzance:

Every moment brings a treasure
Of its own especial pleasure;
Though the moments quickly die,
Greet them gaily as they fly,
Greet them gaily as they fly.

Far away from toil and care,
Revelling in fresh sea-air,
Here we live and reign alone
In a world that's all our own.
Here, in this our rocky den,
Far away from mortal men,
We'll be queens, and make decrees--
They may honour them who please.

i, and many others it would seem, certainly honour the queen's decrees, regardless of the winds.
