I think he is trapped in a parody of himself and feels compelled to post something controversial. I'm sure, as a fellow human being, his first reaction to such a horrible event would be to post something positive about the heroes who prevented a certain massacre, but the 'outrageous' (and tiresome) persona he has created here simply won't allow him to do that.
OP states the heros were Marines....reports now indicate they were US Air Force. One of their mottos: Aut Vincere Aut Mors ("Conquer or Die"😉 Well done guys...your bravery and initiative saved many innocent lives. 🙂

It seems to me what is mindless is stereotyping another person as evil, based solely on occupation, to the point that you cannot even admit it when they do a single act of good. That is just blatantly irrational.
