..............I just realized that some son of a b**** crashed my car window and stolen something like 50 originals Cds,almost 15 years of my music.
I hope that the guy dies between atrocious pains with my cds up his a$$.
Sorry but I had to share it with someone............

If you check pawn shops , resale shops , and places like that which trade used cds in the area you may have a chance to get your stuff back . Depending on what the laws are in your area about recieving stolen merchandise , you may or may not have to pay to get them back from the store that gave the thief money for them.
Tjhat's what pisses me the most.
I bought the vast majority of Cdsin the first 90s,when there wasn't much internet piracy, and I spent a lot of money to build up a decent collection.
Now I have to download and rewrite those crappy blank Cds,and without the F***** lyrics..........

She's right though. I've had many friends lose hundreds (not fifty) of CDs from car break-ins. It's never wise to leave anything of value inside your car.
When I drive (and I pick up the car a dozen of times a day) I like to change my listening and I can't everytime go home and pick up the Cds I want to listen and leave the others at home.
Originally posted by RavelloWell, it's too little too late now but the best thing is to burn your CDs and keep the copies in your car and the originals at home. It's extra work, I know, but that way the originals stay in top condition and are (comparably) safe from theft.
So what should I have done?

This advice is pretty useless to you now, though.
I was lucky enough to at one point have over 200 CDs survive a house fire. Can't say the same for the jewel cases and the back cover sleeves though. 🙁

of course not..i only asked why you had 50 cd's in your car...I didn't bloody take them!
