I just feel like telling everyone of my bad week. It will probably make me feel better, so just bear with me.
It all began one rainy Wednesday(last week). I got up in the morning got ready, and my parnets were taking me to the bus stop when the car in front of us stopped. Apparently, its batteries had died, and it was a one lane street. So we were stuck there 10 minutes while we jump started their batteries. As a result, I missed the bus and got late to school, where they gave me luch detention for being late.
So I go to my first class, and he decides to dump a project on us, and then I go to another few classes and their pretty bad, too, and then I go to math, where for the first time I didn't study yesterday's notes, and so the teacher asks a question, I mess up, the students snicker, and the teacher starts picking on me. She asked me the next twenty questions! and the students don't like me, they used to be nice but started making fun of me and being mean after the teacher told the class I was the only one to get a hundred on my test. Since then, every time I try to talk to them about something, they bring up the test, and they won't let me change the subject. Then they always are laughing something aout me, my height, my ideas, etc, etc.
Anyway, then I went to lunch, where I didn't have time to eat at all, because I was doing my lunch detention and I was scraping gum off of desks. Then I went to a few other classes, who all decided to load us on projects and homework, and school ended.
Then I had Write It Do It, and we were all supposed to pick partners. There were nine of us, and everyone already had a good frined. So guess who was the odd man out? As a result, they kept trying to hint to me that I ought to drop the event, which I would have enjoyed doing, but I stayed firm. After that, my parents came half an hour late to pick me up, and since all my homework required computers and posters, which I didn't have access to, I couldn't do any of my homework until I got home, which ended up being about seven. Since I hadn't eaten anything for about twelve hours, and everything else had been bad, I was in a bad mood. My parents kept telling me to cheer up, and when I told them I was tired and would rather not talk right then, they got offended and didn't talk to me anymore. Then I had to do all of my homework, and after everything I went to bed at around one in the morning.
This pretty much happened all that week, and so far all this. Nobody likes me, when I get a good grade and someone finds out they make jokes, make fun of me, and in my clubs nobody there wants me to be there because I haven't found any friends yet in there. And those who don't like me make sure no one becomes a friend with me, through a large network of gossip, and so everyone's head is filled with rumors and lies about me, and nobody talks to me, and everyone is mean to me. Life sucks.
Edit: forgot to mention that because if all this, I completly forgot about Wright Stuff, an airplane event, and the meeting that was VERY important and would be very rude to not turn up, and the head coach said that if we were'nt going to be able to be there, then we should have e-mailed him (the person teaching it is someone else) beforehand , and it had better be a good reason, and now I'm screwed.

But honestly....I think everyone has times in their lives when they feel like you do...You just have to get on with it, and do the best you can. Other people are ignorant if they take the mick because you did well on a test. Just ignore them and get on with your stuff.

Even though those days are long behind me I still remember them well. you will eventually grow up and it will eventually end. Till there then there's nothing you can do but stick it out and dream of better days to come.
It use to make me feel better to use the people that picked on me in writing assignments and put them in horrible and embarressing situations. That and writing bad things about them on the bathroom walls. 😛

Unless, of course, you're one of those people who snip their hands to ask completely irrelevant questions (example from today's biology lesson: "But these Carbohydrates on the membrane... what do they look like? Are they, like, close together?" I mean, who the fukc cares????), then people will continue making fun of you... but at least they'll usually do it behind your back so you won't know about it 😉

You think you have problems, I got a girl pregnant, and I don't even remember doing it. I would try to dispute her claim, but the video evidence is pretty damning.
Seriously though, I know how you feel. We have all been there, even the kids that you think have more friends have been there. Just remember, everything could be fake. That helps me out of trouble at least as often as it gets me into trouble.
Now that I've reviewed that, it's all pretty bad advice, but you sound smarter than me so you should do fine.
Being liked is overrated. They'll like you after you've graduated from a good college, gotten a great job that pays lots of money, have a beautiful wife, live in a great house and travel all over the world for business and pleasure. The problem is, at that point, you won't care what those losers think. Chin up, kid. 🙂

They found him two weeks later in a Dumpster, all beat up. Poor kid.

Lots of good advice for the future there...
In the meantime, get hold of some beer, drink loads of it, chunder on your parents favourite rug, then put it all down to 'teenage rebellion'
😀
angie: I ask plenty of questions like that, but people don't seem to mind since I'm really just trying to annoy the teacher.
Originally posted by Freddie2004Whatever for? Complaining helps me to relieve some stress and to let off some steam. Complaining is a natural thing in life Why stop? The other advice, it's good, but not for me. See, one who is barely five foot deosn't go around hitting people twice the weight and well over six feet. It's not really that smart. Like you've siad, I've already asked them to stop, and they won't. I really can't do anything about it. It just hurts, and if I talk about it I simply feel better. Helps me relax.

Originally posted by abejnoodWhen I was growing up, in my primary school (elementary school for the North Americans - Grades K to 8, I believe), I was regularly teased, beaten up, that sort of thing. Why? Because I was the smartest kid in that school and nobody liked that. It didn't help that the principal and one or two of the teachers were racist (I was a white foreigner in a mostly black school).
I knew someone who used to do that... in Algebra II/Trig, while we were studying functions "Did you know that adding complex number is really quite easy? If this this, then that that. I even foundan equation to show it..."etc.

I still wonder sometimes how I coped. At the time, the only thing I could do was use my intelligence as a weapon against them. They could push me around outside of class, but I knew that they couldn't touch me in class. I also picked up a phrase when I was reading voraciously in school - the best revenge is living well. It's taken 15 years or so, but I'm doing exactly that. I spotted one of my fiercest tormentors a few years ago as a lowly cashier. And I'm living it up in Europe.
Based on my experience, I'd say you're doing the right thing by letting off steam. Just be patient - very patient. Life gets better, and you'll have picked up a very noble trait - reslilience - which will be very useful for you when you encounter setbacks later on in life.
(Before I sign off, I have to say that when I got to high school, I was no longer the smartest kid, but just one of of the crowd - another lesson - there's always someone smarter than you!)

On the other hand, if this all has it's origins in you getting good grades, there is an obvious and easy solution. I was once denied a change of high school courses because 'my grades were too good'. Didn't take long to turn that around.
