One of my opponents, whom I've been playing for months, has just been banned. He's not a subscriber. What are some reasons that he may have been banned?

Multiple accounts, engine use , or harrassment.

Thanks. So, two follow up questions. How long will my game with him have the ban symbol on it? And, if it can be given, how doe the moderators determine that one has multiple accounts?
